I purchased a set of these from an online retailer. Initially, I considered buying no-name swivels, but read that foreign-made swivels rarely use quality steel. Why risk my expensive equipment just to save a buck or two? In the end, I'm glad I went with these. The finish is nice and deep, and they seem solidly constructed. Best of all, they're American made with a reassuring lifetime warranty. Will be buying more GrovTec hardware as the need arises.
Made in Portland, OR, support the home team. I have these on three rifles and need them for another, got a similar product on a free sling and thought I would put them on but they were so cheap feeling I will wait until I get more Grovtecs.
I needed a wider swivel to accept my tactical/padded sling I use on a particular hunting rifle. These swivels do quite nicely and are constructed very well. One can tell these are American made and give me the needed security to know my sling is securely fastened to my rifle. I will absolutely purchase another set, keep doing what you are doing guys!
I bought a locking swivel set from Cabela's for my cross-bow. One of the swivels would not open and so was not installable. I called customer service to tell them about it. The very nice young woman who answered my call immediately said she would send me a new set. No questions were asked, no requirement that I send the defective swivel to them, not even any proof of purchase required. She just immediately solved my problem. The only downside is that she sent me a set of 2. Since only one of the original pair was defective, I now have an extra swivel. Guess I will have to buy another gun to put it on. But that gun will require two, which means I have to buy another set of 2, which means I will have an extra, which means I will have to buy another gun. You can see that I am now caught in a vicious cycle.
