Hammer Extensions

I needed a hammer extension for a Lever Action Savage Revel DLX in .17HMR and no one sells them. I finally found a chart showing different guns and the extensions with noted dimensions . Pict the closest larger size and IT FITS LIKE IT WAS MAKE FOR MY GUN! Works great and I love it!

Good as ordered

Not a great fit but sufficient. The hammer extension has to be at the very rear end of the hammer spur to gain clearance for the bolt to retract.

Excellent device with good fit. Am using on Henry H-15 in 30-30 with scope. Be sure and use blue lock tight on very small allen screw and torque down to maximum extent with provided allen wrench. Device did come off hammer after 125 rounds but reinstalling with blue lock tight and maximum torque should secure device.

Nice piece. Starting of the threads was pretty rough and I was worried about cross threading but it was just the first mil or so.

A couple weeks ago I ordered a Hammer Extension for my Marlin model 36-A .30 .30 through Amazon. The set screw would not thread through the extention piece. I sent the company an email asking if this was a common issue and they had a replied within 5 minutes. They stated it was a known issue. The locktight applied to the screw would harden and prevent it from threading. They IMMEDIATELY sent out a new one, no charge, and I had it in 2 days. It is SO RARE to find such customer service these days. So, Thank for the professionalism. It was redreshing and you have another loyal customer for future needs.

Does not fit right on Winchester 94/22. The rifle will not function with this installed on the hammer. It is too big.

Great product works as it should easy installation

I needed a hammer extension for a Savage Revel. I was having trouble finding one but finally found something that said the same one for Henry lever and pump guns would work. I ordered one directly from Grovtec and received it in very short order. In trying to install it, the attachment screw would not tighten down to hold the extension in place. I contacted Grovtec to explain the problem. Within a couple hours I had a response. I was advised that the problem was due to the locking compound applied to the screws had hardened to the point it would not allow the screw to be tightened all the way. I was given the option of trying to clean the screws or having new ones sent to me without the locking compound. I initially requested new screws but decided I would try cleaning the original ones. I was able to clean the screws enough (with a good bit of effort) that I was able to tighten the screw all the way to lock it onto the hammer. It was a good secure fit with no issues of the bolt hitting the extension or the extension contacting the stock. I then contacted Grovtec and cancelled the order for new screws. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and extremely well pleased with the customer service after the fact.

The hammer extension worked great on my Henry Shotgun. Fit and workmanship great. Turkey season is around the corner, so I'll be able to test in the field.

I got 2 for my Tikka m07 over-under combination gun they fit without any grinding on the inside .Would highly recommend 5 stars

Marlin 336. This works great. I like it better than the original flat one that was on it.

I needed a hammer extension for a 1954 Marlin 336. Grovetec is the only company that makes one. I have used a number of Grovetec products and have been very impressed with all of them. This hammer extension is no different, quality and fit are both excellent. Plus it is made in USA.

The hammer extension fit as described. It looks like standard equipment on the BL22. Ordering was easy, and the extension was delivered promptly. I appreciate the extra set screw that was included in the package. If you need this or a similar product, I strongly recommend Grovtec.

The hammer extension will require some filing in order to fit the hammer on the '92. It is well made and it appears to be machined, not cast. I think it is worth the expense.

Measured hammer on the Rossi and GTHM277 fits perfectly, with a bit of work with a needle file.
